It all started with curiosity

At Fosfor, we’ve always believed that while organizations can have a broad range of values, curiosity is the foundational value that correlates most closely with an organization’s success. We understand that by providing the technology to allowpeople to freely and easily explore their curiosity whenever and wherever they want, Fosfor will enable cultures of curiosity to emerge at its customers’ organizations.

Having a culture of curiosity means that no business question needs to go unanswered, no answer needs to go unexplored, and no business-value-creating insight needs to ever be out of reach.

At Fosfor, we imagine a world where data explorers of all types — regardless of their level of technical expertise — face no obstacles whatsoever in their exploration of curiosity about business performance, trends, hypotheses, and plans.

In this world, business decisions — once made using a broadly variable mix of rigidly defined, time-consuming analytics and gut instinct — become more fluid. There will always be a place for formal analysis and pre-defined reports, but with Fosfor, these are augmented by curious exploration. Questions that arise from analyses — or intuition — are easily explored. Answers are easily drilled into. “Why?”, “What if?”, and “What will be?” and other questions that arise from natural human curiosity are easily examined as they arise in real-time.

This transforms the business decision-making process into a process of investigation and discovery. Business outcomes become easier to interrogate, easier to simulate, easier to predict — and easier to test, monitor, revisit, revise, and maximize.

How we
got here

The Fosfor team set out in stealth mode in 2018 to build the solution that is now the Fosfor Decision Cloud.

It’s been quite a journey — one in which the Decision Cloud evolved to build on foundational technologies while adapting to include the best-emerging tech trends that helped enhance end-user value.
